The School Day

What time does school start?

School starts at 8:40 a.m. This gives pupils and parents ample time to get to class and get organised, ready for the day.

Punctuality is a high priority in our school so that the day gets off to an efficient start!

What time does school finish?

The school day finishes at 3:15 p.m.

Please be in the playground to collect your child at this time.  Again, it is important that your children are collected promptly at the end of the day.

Total time each week = 32.5 hours

Assemblies

At St. Edmund’s we believe that it is vital to share children’s work with each other along with important information for the children. Therefore every Monday morning the school has a whole school assembly from 9:15 a.m. where the children are told about key details for the week. On a Friday morning the school host a good work assembly at 10:00 a.m.  During this assembly children are rewarded with certificates, stickers and rewards for successes which they have achieved either in school or out of school. In addition to this children’s birthdays are celebrated.
