RE Curriculum

We follow the new Religious Education Curriculum Directory, which sets out a clear and ambitious vision for the teaching of RE in Catholic schools. It emphasises a rich, knowledge-based curriculum rooted in Scripture, Tradition and the teachings of the Church, while also encouraging pupils to make links between faith and their own lives. To support this, we use the ‘Lighting the Path’ scheme, which provides a structured and engaging approach to delivering the curriculum. Through thoughtfully planned lessons, pupils develop a deep understanding of Catholic beliefs, grow in their ability to reflect spiritually and learn to respect and engage with other faiths and worldviews. This approach ensures that RE is central to school life and enables our pupils to grow both academically and in their faith journey.
